--- Comment #10 from Tobias Burnus
The ia32 version uses: # ldd /opt/intel/idb/9.1.036/bin/iidb libXft.so.1 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXft.so.1 (0x555f1000) The x86_64 one uses already the new version: ldd /opt/intel/idbe/9.1.036/bin/idb-e libXft.so.2 => /usr/X11R6/lib64/libXft.so.2 (0x00002ae4a8da8000)

I'm wondering if libXft1 is still required by the Intel Debugger of the Intel Fortran|C++ Compiler suit? Otherwise we would like to drop it for Factory.
Well, it depends what you mean by required by the Intel Debugger. It is (obviously) still required for 9.1.x but 10.0.x uses: $ ldd /opt/intel/idb/10.0.026/bin/iidb|grep Xft libXft.so.2 => /usr/lib/libXft.so.2 (0x5562c000) As 9.1.x is quite old - 10.0, 10.1, 11.0 and 11.1 followed, I'd guess one could remove it. (That's always the problem: some old software still requires something which newer versions don't provide - and sometimes one cannot update the software; anyone providing me an update for Corel Draw for Linux? The question is when to stop supporting a library/an old program, which is a question I cannot answer.) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
