Give alsa-info.sh output (at least with "Headphone Jack Sense" switch on)
again.
Or, you can play with AC97 register bits by yourself, too. You can write the
register via /proc/asound/card0/codec97#0/ac97#0-0+regs (only as root), e.g.
echo 0x02 0x1f1f > /proc/asound/card0/codec97#0/ac97#0-0+regs
will change the register 0x02 to the value 0x1f1f. Reading that file will show
the current contents to confirm the change.
Get AD1981B datasheet from AD web site, and change some registers (but
carefully). The most relevant register would be 0x72, which controls
jack-sensing.
