http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=508732 Summary: Wrong install location Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: mobile-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: lars@skjaerlund.dk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Opera/9.64 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; en) Presto/2.1.1 The package bluez-firmware installs its files in /lib/firmware - however, that doesn't work with the BCM2033 kernel driver, which expects to find its firmware in /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware. Creating a symbolic link from the former to the latter makes the driver work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Plugin a Bluetooth device using the BCM2033 chipset 2.Notice that nothing happens and the syslog complains that it cannot find the firmware. 3. Actual Results: Nothing. Expected Results: The driver should load the firmware on to the Bluetooth device. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
