I finally realized, that calibration data
can be written to xorg.conf via SaX2, which is good.
BUT I think the real problem still persists:
after enabling in SaX2 tablet is uncalibrated = unusable.
Initially it works only on a small area in the upper left corner of the
monitor.
It is a couple of square centimetres, which is mapped to the whole desktop.
It was _not_ obvious, that active area is in the corner
(that's why at first I thought, that tablet just doesn't work).
After some time I figured, that I have to issue calibration
command with certain parameters, which is again not obvious thing to do.
And only after some searching and analyzing xorg.conf files
I guessed that calibration data can be written to xorg.conf.
Another problem is calibration parameters:
from what source should user get them (some manual or instruction)?
(I just copied them from openSUSE 11.0, but it not natural thing to do for
average user.)
I think it is normal to expect from tablet to just work, after enabling it.
So, in my opinion, solutions are:
1) Somehow set initial calibration parameters to some sane values
(as it was in openSUSE 11.0:
after enabling in SaX2 tablet worked fine at least in non-rotated state
without writing any calibration parameters to xorg.conf).
2) Automatically write correct calibration parameters to xorg.conf file.
3) Tell users correct calibration parameters and tell,
where should they enter them.
I doubt, that xorg.conf files or any other log files will be of any help here,
as this is a configuration problem, but I will provide xorg.conf
and other files according to wiki instructions just for maintaining order.
