http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=504054 Summary: GNOME: Copy/Move Anjuta-development data to USB-Stick Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: esddss@freenet.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008103100 SUSE/3.0.4-4.7 Firefox/3.0.4 Copy or move of user data or folders to a USB-Harddisk runs without problems. But the same procedure with Anjuta-development dates to a USB-Stick you get a lot of alerts as 'Copy Error' of following dates: 'config.guess, config.sub, install-sh, missing, depcomp, INSTALL, libpcrecpp.so.0, libpcre.so.0, libpcre.so, libpcrecpp.so, libpcre.la, libpcreposix.so.0, libpcreposix.so, libpcreposix.la, libpcrecpp.la, index.html'! In 'Details' of this alerts you read (in German): 'Fehler beim Erstellen der Symbolischen Verknüpfung: Die Operation ist nicht erlaubt' ('Error by symbol link. Operation not allowed'). You are able to skip this alerts, and the copy/move procedure runs without problems, but for what reason so a lot of alerts (it's confusing!)? That's a specific problem only of Anjuta-development-system. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Copy or move of Anjuta-development dates to a USB-Stick. 2. 3. Actual Results: Copy or move of Anjuta-development dates to a USB-Stick you get a lot of alerts as 'Copy Error'. Expected Results: In Linux KDE or Microsofts WINDOWS you get only one alert, which asks for overwrite the folders and data. That must be enough! -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
