Yes, you are speaking of the files in :
/usr/lib/YaST2/startup/Second-Stage/*
This code belongs to Yast. For external users of the Yast
mechanism the executables should not be sourced, or
it should be at least optinal.
Maybe you should enhance Yast in that way.
If a file starts with _no_source_ then do not source it
otherwise source it.

The workaround for this problem is to place a shell script
#!/bin/sh
(/call/my/script)
in the hooks. But thats only a workaround.
Maybe the workaround should be documented in the "hooks" documentation
and it should be documented that the scripts are _sourced_.
