All other GNOME packages from Factory means, I upgraded my whole GNOME
installation to 2.26 from factory. I run both GNOME and KDE but typically run
in KDE which is where I saw this issue (so my guess would be that the
gnome-keyring was not running.
I'll have to retest as i've downgraded from GNOME 2.26 to 2.24 and the password
is saved again (so I don't think it's a patch per say to pidgin, but to
gnome-keyring?
I'll upgrade to factory pidgin to see what behavior I get (while keeping GNOME
2.24). However I also installed the community pidgin packages with 2.26 and had
the same behavior, and downgrading to 2.24 seemed to fix it ..
