I just want to let you know that I have no problems with the internal
microphone using skype on my Latitude E6500. I used kmix to set Digital Input
Source to Digital Mic 1. Additionally I enabled capture on all input channels
and set all the capture volumes to maximum.
With this settings I have a good sound quality and volume (only tested in
skype) using openSUSE 11.1 x86.
If anything needs to be investigated on the device I'll be glad to help.
