https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=477488 Summary: pam-config: use substack in common-* Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Alpha 0 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: vuntz@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I'd like to request that common-auth and common-password look like this (giving an example with auth) when "pam-config -a --gnome_keyring" is used: auth substack common-auth-stack auth optional pam_gnome_keyring.so [options...] where common-auth-stack would contain what common-auth usually contains. The rationale is that we want pam_gnome_keyring.so to be used only with a real valid password. Having "auth optional pam_gnome_keyring.so" before some other modules is bad because it can create a login keyring with a password that is not the user password. I discussed this extensively upstream, and using substack is really the best way to handle this. (If we don't use substack, and put pam_gnome_keyring.so just after the other modules, it will be ignored in case of a "sufficient" module that succeeds) This would only be needed for auth and password since this is only needed for the cases where we have a to deal with an auth token. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
