https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=473789 Summary: resolv.conf is not restored if kvpnc of some reason "dies" Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE3 AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: jarlgjessing@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- If I kill kvpnc OR if the computer awakens from hibernation, resolv.conf is not restored even if network/computer is restarted. (Oh and yes I was connected using kvpnc while kvpnc died or the computer hibernated) I searched a bit and found out that the network script could not update resolv.conf because it was chmodded to 644 by kvpnc. I chmodded it to 664 and voila network manager could update it. I use kvpnc becuase I cannot import my ciscu configuration into knetworkmanagers vpnc configuration tool.
