https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=473679 Summary: Kooka cannot scan Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: trenn@novell.com QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: Development I have All-in-one 3052 HP printer/scanner (via network). It is correctly set up. But if I open the HP device manager and use kooka for scanning, it does not find the device. Also hp-scan does not find the device by default. Also kooka does not show a device I could set. I have to do: hp-scan -d "hpaio:/net/HP_LaserJet_3052?ip=192.168.1.98" -n this works, even HP device manager notices that a scanning job started and pops up a little Window (the kapplet HP device manager). Strange (maybe that is it?) is, that the scanning job shown in the HP device manager states the device: hp-scan -d "hp:/net/HP_LaserJet_3052?ip=192.168.1.98" -n one time it's hp:/ (which does not work with hp-scan) hp-scan works with hpaio:/ with just using hp:/, hp-scan throws out: hp-scan -d "hp:/net/HP_LaserJet_3052?ip=192.168.1.98" -n HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 2.8.7) Scan Utility ver. 1.0 Copyright (c) 2001-8 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP This software comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.
