Update- This does not appear to relate to the network anymore- After a fair
amount of use yesterday, this issue appears to happen at random (i.e. it
happens even if I'm not using the system.
Yesterday my system came out of a cold boot, and it said there was no battery
installed at all. (cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state) said 'Present: no'.
Seems this issue is in the ACPI of the kernel.
Removing and re-inserting the battery resolved the issue, but the power level
still changed from 0% to 100% and back to the correct value of 95% at random.
