My help is going to be limited since this was the last straw for me, way too
many needless bugs in opensuse. I now use sabayon. However in the interest of
the greater good I'll see what I can do. I can say however that I have a very
high wattage power supply, (I think it's 750W or higher) of a very good brand
and I could only experience this issue on OpenSuSE 11.1 GM (not RC) so I'm not
convinced it's barriers if it was in the RC's. Further more I have no idea how
to 'make it happen' at my request and if I did I'm not willing to risk all my
new data (and 4TB is hard to move around) which incidentally is now running
fine on another distro (Sabayon 4.0). Not sure if that barriers thing is a
kernel change or not, but if so, Sabayon is running a fairly recent kernel.
Other than that if there's anything I can do?
