--- Comment #4 from James Strother
Do the headlines get readable when you change the view? For example by switching to a different filter and back again or by changing the column width? I didn't try changing the filter, but I did try changing the width and as I remember it did not fix things.
Since the problem appears intermittently I think it is likely that it results from accessing an uninitialized variable. If the program is run from within valgrind there is pretty decent chance it will point out the problem. Of course, you'll get a bunch of junk from QT passing uninitialized buffers back and forth to X11, but the real problem should stand out if it is there. If valgrind doesn't highlight the problem, then a check of the source code should turn it up. QTableView does not cause the columns to stretch by default. So somewhere there should be a call to the horizontal header's stretchLastSection(bool) function to cause this expansion. If this function is not being called or is being called with an uninitialized variable, then it should be easy to spot. At any rate, since I can't really answer the current or an future questions, I won't re-open the bug. But my guess is that valgrind and grepping the source code will expose the bug fairly quickly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
