https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=471016 Summary: ZYPP_ARIA2C=1 causes all added and edited repositories to be listed under Services and fail to update. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: joe_morris@ntm.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=268933) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=268933) zypp refresh log User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-2.5 Firefox/3.0.5 I tried adding ZYPP_ARIA2C=1 to /etc/bash.bashrc.local (which i created for this purpose), and tried switching back all my repositories to download.opensuse.org (in hopes that someday failover will work, and hoping aria2c would download more reliably than curl has been recently. After editing the repository, they disappeared from Repositories and I found them listed under Services. When trying to refresh them they all errored about not repo/repoindex.html file found or something like that. I tried to add one back and it also landed under Services, where it also cannot refresh. I commented the env var in bash.bashrc.local and am able to re-add all my repositories (working on it). I will try to re-enable the variable after all my repositories are re-added as download.opensuse.org urls and see if downloading works then. I will add that info in a bit. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enable the variable, i.e create /etc/bash.bashrc.local with ZYPP_ARIA2C=1 as contents. 2.Open a konsole, su to root, check to make sure ZYPP_ARIIA2C=1 is in env, then yast2 inst_source & 3.Try to add or edit a repository, or refresh. Actual Results: If editing or adding, (it will move to Services) if refreshing, (it will fail). Expected Results: I more reliable download from a more reliable redirected mirror.
