https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=470962 Summary: "zypper in --force" doesn't have the expected behavior Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: vuntz@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I worked on a gdm package in home:vuntz:11.1-testing to do lots of tests. And now, the package version is 2.24.0-32.1. In the main openSUSE repo, the package version is 2.24.0-15.1 So I'm trying to get back to the official openSUSE version: zypper in -r repo-oss gdm => gdm is already installed zypper in -f -r repo-oss gdm => Package gdm-2.24.0-32.1.i586 not found in repositories, cannot reinstall. Sure, the version is different, but forcing a reinstall doesn't mean reinstall the same version to me. For me, it means forcing the installation of the version from the repo. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
