OK, I've discovered the possible reason of this symptom. The 32 bit system
detects the monitor the similarly poorly if I unplug the monitor. So, the
x86-64 system seems to be unable to detect the monitor even when it's plugged.
That SUN / SUN L7ZF display type shown in the 32 bit SaX2 seems to be a
dynamically generated one, which was created by SaX2 on the fly by some sort of
hardware detection, since 32bit SaX2 has two display groups made by the vendor
"Sun". One of them is written as "Sun" and contains the same types as the
x86-64 SaX2, however and additional "SUN" category exists, which contains the
single "SUN L7ZF" type. So, this latter category has to be created on the fly
(see the 32bit hwinfo above).
Thus, the problem seems to be (in addition to that boot systems recognize a
800x600 monitor during installation) that the x86-64 bit system is simply
unable to detect the display.
