Maybe a short summary, because some comments sound a little confusing.
Case 1:
----------------
If you work on a system > openSUSE 11.0 and you want to use KDE3 (for whatever
reason) than you have to downgrade your bluez package and use the latest 3.x
version (bluez-utils 3.36 and bluez-libs 3.36).
To get for example here:
http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/home:jnweiger:bluez-336/openSUSE_Factory/bl...
Then you can use the latest kdebluetooth3 package (1.0 beta8). To get for
example here:
http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/openSUSE:Factory/standard/kdebluetooth.ymp
This constellation has nothing to do with solid. This version uses the plain
bluez libs. These bluez libraries are outdated and also no longer supported by
the bluez development team. Sp please try to switch to Case 2.
Have also in mind, that i have not enough time do further development for the
kdebluetooth3 package.
Case 2:
---------------------
If you are using KDE4 you can use the latest kdebluetooth4 package in
combination with the latest bluez4 package.
kdebluetooth4 uses solid to talk with the bluez backend. Therefore you need one
of the latest kdebase4-workspace packages. kdebluetooth4 requires that.
These links provide the latest kdebluetooth4 (and its requirements):
1-Click Install for openSUSE 11.1:
http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/KDE:KDE4:STABLE:Desktop/openSUSE_11.1/kdebl...
1-Click Install for openSUSE Factory:
http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop/openSUSE_Factory/k...
This version is the actively living one. So chances to get bugfixes or feature
requests in here, are much higher, than for kdebluetooth3.
I will close this bug, because the real cause of that issue is fixed.
If there are other bugs in kdebluetooth4 ( and of course there are :) ) feel
free to open a new one, if it does'nt exist already.
