https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=467642 Summary: Need longer timeout to enable desktop effects Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: RC 2 Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Compiz AssignedTo: bnc-team-compiz@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: hendrik.maryns@uni-tuebingen.de QAContact: bperry@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; nl; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-2.5 Firefox/3.0.5 Enabling desktop effects in Gnome gives a timeout popup that reverts the setting after ten seconds, unless Ok is chosen. 10 seconds is not enough, since the window system does several restarts, which can take a few seconds, and one wants to look around whether everything looks fine. I would propose 30 seconds. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable desktop effects through Gnome configuration center. Actual Results: window system restarts, windows flash and get resized etc. Then it reverts before one can click the ok button. Expected Results: More time to check whether everything is fine. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
