https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=467184 Summary: fusesmb crashes in multithreaded mode when transferring large files Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Samba AssignedTo: samba-maintainers@SuSE.de ReportedBy: csll@gmx.net QAContact: samba-maintainers@SuSE.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-1.1 Firefox/3.0.5 fusesmb crashes when I try to transfer a large file from my samba server. If started like "fusesmb -s ..." (single-threaded mode), the crashes do not occur. There are no problems when accessing the server via "fusesmb -s", samba-client, sshfs or from windows. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start fusesmb 2. browse the shared directory 3. if fusesmb has not crashed yet, start copying a large file from server to local disk Actual Results: fusesmb crashes and exits. The mount-directory is still in use, but empty. Expected Results: File should be copied. The samba server is a rather old machine (500 mhz) running ubuntu hardy with encrypted hdd. Reading from it is possible at about 5MB/s. In my opinion, this should not cause the problem. But the crashes in fusesmb seem to occur less often (maybe never?), when reading from an unencrypted partition on the server. Then transfer is possible at about 7MB/s. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
