https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=467106 Summary: [zypper] unexpected output when using -i and -r together on a 'search' Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Alpha 0 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dominique.leuenberger@tmf-group.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User I just wanted to check something 'interesting' for me, and was not 'satisfied' with the output. I have several repos on my openSUSE 11.2 factory install (who doesn't?) In order to 'clean up' a bit I tried to find out what I have installed from a specific repository. so I assumed that
zypper se -i -r 8 will show me all the packages that I have installed from repository 8
Unfortunately it gives me a list of all the packages that would be available in repository 8 and I have an installed version, even if it's not the same version as found in repo 8. Example (repo 8 is packman on my system at the moment): zypper se -s -r -i 8 S | Name | Type | Version | Arch | Repository --+----------------------------------+---------+---------------------------+--------+------------------- i | Vuze | package | 4.0.0.5-B22.pm.1 | noarch | Packman Repository i | Vuze-libswt3-gtk2 | package | 3.5_I20080702_0939-0.pm.1 | i586 | Packman Repository i | amarok | package | 1.4.10-26.12 | i586 | (System Packages) i | amarok-lang | package | 1.4.10-26.12 | i586 | (System Packages) i | amarok-libvisual | package | 1.4.10-26.12 | i586 | (System Packages) The output continues of course (and I added -s to show the version information). From the version it's already obvious that amarok was NOT installed from repository 8. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
