First of all I fixed it yesterday night ;-)
I do not have my notebook mwith me, but I can tell you, that the vmware script
was in /etc/init.d and it was working when calling it manually, as descriped
above. In top of that /etc/init.d/rc5.d contained the nessesary links to start
and stop vmware services.
The solution I found was to use the yast runleveleditor to first remove/disable
the vmware services, and save this configuration. Then I configured vmware
services to be started in runlevel 5 again, and now it workes.
Strange, isn't it!
