Since the installer does not report any problems this might be a openSuse problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install VMWare Workstation 6.5.1-64 (as root in shell) 2.mv /usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary /usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary.old 3. start vmware (this is working!) 4. reboot 5. strat vmware (this is not working, 'cos the vmware services are not running) 6. (as root) run /etc/init.d/vmware start 7. run vmware (it is working!)
