https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=466284 Summary: update to the 180.22 nvidia driver : a catastroph ! Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 3rd Party Driver AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jc@phocean.net QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; fr; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121300 SUSE/3.0.5-2.5 Firefox/3.0.5 Somehow, it broke my system : - suspend-to-ram doesn't work anymore (with the previous version, I had an issue only with suspend to disk) - my tty dispapeared (a blinking cursor is shown instead) - VMWARE hangs at startup on "blocking device" - at last but not least, the refreshing problem with compiz (with --loose-binding option) is much worse, so much that the system is unusable. In one word, my system is out of order. I used to appreciate this release for its stability, but it has been all wasted by this update.
