Yes, you're right, the video plays correctly with the 1.1.16 version of xine
(taken from packman), however, the official openSUSE repository still contains
1.1.15.
In addition, the audio is still heavily distorted (sounds to be overdriven).
However, I realized, that this can be solved by a workaround: One has to
disable the software mixer in Kaffeine on the settings -> xine player settings
-> audio -> general settings tab, and the restart kaffeine. This software mixer
have caused this type of heavy sound distortion for many openSUSE releases.
Maybe new, reasonable Kaffeine/Xine default settings should be included in
future openSUSE versions.
Kaffeine plays this video at a CPU load comparable to that of MPlayer (about
the half of the CPU power consumed by VLC), but there are still some problems
remaining. Kaffeine plays the videos well, when invoked from Doplhin by right
click -> open with -> Kaffeine/KDE3, but:
-There is no sound when in try to open the video files from the File menu of
Kaffeine!
-Kaffeine cannot play videos, when invoked from the KDE4 desktop directory
(right click -> open with...), but it complains about a missing plugin instead
(see: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=443158#c2).
What is the difference between the tree invocation methods?
