Then this is likely the same problem as bug#462007, which is about another Dell
laptop.

Let's close this bug as DUPLICATE and track the issue further on there.

Could you identify the critical volume value (raw value)?
Note that Front and Master volumes are coupled, and both change the same
register value (likely Node 0x02). Check /proc/asound/card0/codec* file at
each volume change. This contains the real "raw" value.
