https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=464616 Summary: Cannot Partition HD as I would like Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: joelinux@earthlink.net QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Community User I tried to install OpenSuSE 11.1 on my son's new HP Compaq CQ60 Laptop, and Open SuSE 11.1 will not let me use the partition set up on the drive that I had previously. Previously I had Sidux installed on a 325 gig Samsung 2.5 SATA. The partitions were /dev/sda1 15.01 GB Ext3 / /dev/sda2 40.00 GB Ext3 /home /dev/sda3 2.01 GB Swap /dev/sda4 241.07 GB /storage Everytime after I import the previous mount points, it reverts to the SuSE scheme of /dev/sda1 15.01 GB Ext3 / /dev/sda2 40.00 GB Ext3 not used /dev/sda3 2.01 GB Swap /dev/sda4 241.07 GB /home There is no way to change it. I have tried several times to modify it and every time it just reverts back to the orignal SuSE scheme, not the one I want and actually used before. Therefore I find SuSE 11.1 is a useless POS. I can't tell you how many times I've tried Open SuSE only to discover that it has major bugs. I would have like to use it, but apparently Open SuSE has a M$ philosophy where you have to take their way or the highway. This philosophy seems to have been extent since 7.2. For now I'm taking the highway. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
