Scrolling in all major web browsers is extremly slow. The results are the same with compositing turned on or off. The same bug is listed in Ubuntu's Launchpad at https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/177492 The solution published there worked for me great -- the scrolling problem is fixed and the UI is much faster than before. Also, the Elephant's Dream in Full HD is now finally playable. But it slowed down all 3D apps; glxgears went down from 300 FPS to 60 and the overall system speed is still hardly comparable to similar system with Radeon 3200HD (radeonhd). Also, Kubuntu 8.10 LiveCD with KDE 4.2.1 runs much faster than openSUSE 11.1 on this PC.
