Happy new year everybody!
I've had 3 system hangs right after KDE and beagle start today, killing beagle
allows the system to work normally with heavy disk IO.
My system was working normally with beagle since 11.1 was released, yesterday I
compiled and booted 2.6.28 from kernel.org (reiserfs statically linked) and I
got several messages like:
ReiserFS: sda2: warning: Invalid hash for xattr (user.Beagle) associated with
[101 45992 0x0 SD]
for many files, in the system log. These error messages never appear with the
opensuse kernel, they always appear, if I remember correctly since 10.3, when I
boot a vanilla kernel that I compile with reiserfs statically linked. After
booting the vanilla kernel yesterday, shut down and boot the opensuse kernel
today running beagle, the system hangs (SysRq-S doesn't work, SysRq-B works,
all other IO looks dead).
