https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=463235 Summary: Installed system needs an installation DVD by default Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mvyskocil@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development A fresh installed openSUSE has an installation media as a first repository, so installation of packages from this media, causes a zypper error if it isn't iserted into a drive: Failed to mount cd:///?devices=/dev/sr0 on /var/adm/mount/AP_0x00000001: No medium found (mount: No medium found on /dev/sr0) But having a media in drive is annoying and I suppose that many users don't care about an amount of transmitted data over the internet. Plus my laptop resumes much better without media in drive. Zypper or Yast can try an another repository, if the mount of the media fails, so the installation will be a little slower, but works well. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
