https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447012 Summary: ypbind fails when configured via NetworkManager Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mhopf@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- If the network is configured to use NIS upon installation (or later with yast2), ypbind fails when NetworkManager is enabled. Turns out that dhclient doesn't write yp.conf, while dhcpcd does. Reading /var/log/messages turns out that - additionally - /var/lib/dhclient/ doesn't exist - so at least no leases are written. If it is created, the lease indicates valid nis servers, still yp.conf is not written. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
