i dont quite understand the questions. i really thought i have attached all the
neccessary logs in my bugreport and that i had provided extensive and detailed
log information so that no questions would be left unanswered that this bug
could be handled and fixed quickly and accordingly.
unfortunately it seems that people still ask questions ;)
like i said i did clean install of 11.0 and simply used yast2 to get the
standard download.opensuse.org update repository or whatever that loadbalancer
is called exactly.
all normal opensuse 11.0 systems give this same update/repository urls and not
those old-style suse worldwide mirror urls any more.
arent the urls in my logfiles? i really though they were.
i installed the clean 11.0 and simply started yast2 configure/register the
update repository and then "yast2 online_update" a few times (getting new
current kernel for 11.0) and rebooting a few times. this most up-to-date clean
11.0 system was then being upgraded via the downloaded dvd iso image to 11.1
beta3.
i have additionally checked the /etc/zypp/ directory:
it has:
[openSUSE-11.0-Updates]
name=openSUSE-11.0-Updates
baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.0/
path=/
type=rpm-md
enabled=1
autorefresh=1
gpgcheck=1
keeppackages=0
[openSUSE-DVD 11.0]
name=openSUSE-DVD 11.0
baseurl=cd:///?devices=/dev/sr0
path=/
type=yast2
enabled=1
autorefresh=0
gpgcheck=1
keeppackages=0
[repo-debug]
name=openSUSE-11.0-Debug
baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0/repo/debug/
path=/
type=NONE
enabled=0
priority=120
autorefresh=0
gpgcheck=1
keeppackages=0
[repo-oss]
name=openSUSE-11.0-Oss
baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0/repo/oss/
path=/
type=NONE
enabled=1
priority=120
autorefresh=0
gpgcheck=1
keeppackages=0
[repo-non-oss]
name=openSUSE-11.0-Non-Oss
baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0/repo/non-oss/
path=/
type=NONE
enabled=1
priority=120
autorefresh=0
gpgcheck=1
keeppackages=0
as files in there...
so as i said many times before. clean/normal 11.0 setup, using the standard
yast2 tools and online_update module to get the basic repostitories setup and
applying the patches via online_update.
i would call this a normal real world scenario of a normal 11.0 user and
his/her system.
then i tried the 11.1 beta3 upgrade via the dvd.
