https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=441674 Summary: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: "undefined symbol: g_dpgettext" in Version gtk2-2.12.9-36.2 Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: markus.naaf@t-online.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User while upgrading gimp from 2.4 to 2.6.2 (using Yast and repo "http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/Community/openSUSE_10.3+GNO...") ther wehre updates to several gtk packages neccessary (dependencies). So yast updated package gtk2 and gtk2-32bit from version 2.12.0-5.8 (http://download.opensuse.org/update/10.3) to version 2.12.9-36.2 (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/STABLE/openSUSE_10.3). gimp 2.6.2 is running fine with that. Problem now is that the newer libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.1200.9 from gtk2 package generates the following error: "symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_dpgettext" This happens e.g. with programs: acroread (8.1.2_SU1), vmware-server-console (1.0.7 build-108231). The older version libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.1200.9 (from gtk2-2.12.0-5.8) runs well with theses programs, but gimp 2.6.2. won't run with that. (I had older version manually linked in /usr/lib to test this) I suspect that this missing symbol in the newer lib version is a mistake. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
