Yes, the solver has no chance here. virtualbox-ose requires virtualbox-ose-kmp, the kmp does not exist for the installed kernel-default-2.6.27.4-2.1.x86_64, thus the solver picks another kernel to fulfill the dep.
(But why doesn't it boot? Do you need virtualbox-ose-kmp for booting?)
Looks like this is more or less a duplicate of #326269
I don't need virtualbox-ose-kmp, but I cannot boot when I have 32-bit kernel-base and 64-bit all modules (they are in kernel-default and kernel-default-extra). causes freeze during boot.
