The report would be invalid if the printer and the proprietary drivers hadn't
worked with the old yast2-printer module. I've used the printer, with the exact
same set of drivers since the printer was released nearly two years ago (tested
the linux drivers for brother).
I've always set it up the same way - install the proprietary drivers, pull up
yast2-printer, hit Edit or Configure to make sure the correct device location
is applied, then Finish. The only thing that has changed is yast2-printer,
therefore the issue has to be there. Also, even without installing the
proprietary drivers, the same thing happens with the connection wizard.
Oh, when I say I manually added the location of the printer, I mean I typed in
usb://Brother/MFC-240C in the Location field in yast2-printer dialog. See
screenshot above.
I changed the title slightly to be a bit more specific.
