Consequently, I expect to be able to user-mount the partition, "mount /windows/C". However, I get the following error output" Error opening '/dev/sda1': Permission denied Failed to mount '/dev/sda1': Permission denied Please check '/dev/sda1' and the ntfs-3g binary permissions, and the mounting user ID. More explanation is provided at http://ntfs-3g.org/support.html#unprivileged Being a fairly seasoned Linux user, I have been able to solve such problems in the past, but I'm getting increasingly tired of having to go through the same manual routine every time I upgrade to a new version of my distribution. And what is an ordinary recent convert to Linux to do when presented with such a problem? In my opinion, this just ought to work straight out of the box. Therefore, I consider this a bug, and not just an low-priority enhancement (see bug #432905). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
