https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=439569 Summary: Points editor 'move point' action is constrained. Liftng constraint is difficult. Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: kyu@novell.com ReportedBy: bobharvey@europe.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Community User Try this: Draw a polygon. Select the points editor. Select a point and try to move it. You will find the behaviour a bit unexpected. The point can be moved along the line of one of the sides or the other. It is constrained to the projection of one side or the other: it cannot be freely moved. It can be freely moved by holding down the shift key, but the ergonomics of this are confused. If you select a point and hold down shift before moving it the selection is cancelled. Free movement is only possible by starting to move the point, and then pressing shift while the mouse key is still held down. If the point is not already moved the shift key does not free it up. I suspect that the constrained movement is by design, although I can't find it described anywhere. But the rather clumsy method of switching to free movement cannot surely be a deliberate choice? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
