https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=435178 Summary: radeon: no working xinerama configuration Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Beta-Customer Created an attachment (id=245399) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=245399) SaX2 log, xorg*.log, xorg.conf (as tar.bz2) I updated from 11.0 to 11.1 beta2 via "zypper dup". The result: It's impossible to use a xinerama/dualhead setup with laptop display (1400x1050) + external TFT (1280x1024). The best thing I can get is a _clone_ configuration with 1280x1024 - or just use the laptop display in 1400x1050. I tried several configurations: - a freshly generated config from sax2 -r (see the attached tarball) - this gives me clone mode even if I activate the "dualhead" checkbox in SaX2 - the config file gererated by sax2 on 10.3 (which worked well on 11.0). This results in only the laptop display working, but with the borders cut off (virtual resolution higher than hardware resolution) (external monitor shows "out of range") - the config file generated by sax2 on 11.0 - simliar result to the 10.3 config file If you need more information and/or logs when using the 10.3/11.0 config files, just ask. (And yes, this is still the same laptop you might remember when you read my name ;-) (A workaround to re-enable dualhead for me would also be welcome - even if it means I have to downgrade to some 11.0 packages or so.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
