User pulse' default group ID did not match pulse group 2. Running pulseaudio as user failed till the user was added to all pulse groups. The log messages: Sep 30 00:04:22 prime pulseaudio[8564]: alsa-util.c: Error opening PCM device hw:0: Permission denied Sep 30 00:04:22 prime pulseaudio[8564]: module.c: Failed to load module "module-alsa-sink" (argument: "device_id=0 sink_name=alsa_output.pci_1002_4383_sound_card_0_alsa_playback_0 tsched=1"): initialization failed.
