I have come up with an other way to get the access violation with alpine. It
does not give the loss of messages, but it is at least very repoduciable.
create a cronjob to send an email every minute. Have seamonkey or thunderbird
use Imap to check for email every couple minutes. Let a few emails be
delivered, then go to an other folder and wait. Then with in a short while I
get the access violation. I am using the exact same .procmail rules since
2003.
This test did not fail/get the error with 2.0 or 1.0 but does with 1.10. I
hope this assist you with seeing the error.
The only thing I see with it is the access violation message in alpine. I let
them run for 2 hours and saw the message several time.
