https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=421148 Summary: provide reliable way of setting packages precedence Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Currently it is based on textual description which can lead to severe problems -- in perfect world you always could get 1.0, 2.0 and so on, but on earth there are labeling svn, 20080825, and so on which leads to awkward ordering. As an example, yesterday I "upgraded" ffmpeg to older version because of the labeling. I think that more elaborate description would be the solution -- what kind this package is: official release or svn snapshot. And date not of compilation, but source date. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
