https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=416299 Summary: Gnome-settings-daemon/Accessibility Error Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: delder@novacoast.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Third Party Developer/Partner With 11.0 (fully patched as of 8/11) when I launch the Assistive Technologies link in the Gnome control center, I get the following error: "Unable to start the settings manager 'gnome-settings-daemon'. Without the GNOME settings manager running, some preferences may not take effect. This could indicate a problem with Bonobo, or a non-GNOME (e.g. KDE) settings manager may already be active and conflicting with the GNOME settings manager." The Assistive Technologies Preferences dialog will still come up and I can see gnome-settings-daemon actually running in my process list so I don't know if there really is an error or just an erroneous error message.
