https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=416101 Summary: Microphone works wth kernel-vanilla but not with kernel- default Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: joao@fraga.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer I have a HP Pavillion dv2000 laptop and I am not able to get any sound out of the microphone when using kernel-default. arecord foo.wav just records silence, even though I have "Ext Mic", "Int Mic" and "Digital" at appropriate levels in KMix... But when I boot with kernel-vanilla the microphone works just fine. And it also works fine in Fedora 9... What patches in the kernel-default could be interfering with the microphone? I can give an openSUSE developer remote access to my machine if that can help diagnose the problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
