This is very strange - since plain "s2ram -f" does nothing different than "echo
mem > /sys/power/state".
Would it be possible to try the following:
- move away /usr/sbin/s2ram (to s2ram.bin for example). If s2ram is not
installed in /usr/sbin in debian, then replace the path accordingly.
- create a shellscript at the place where s2ram used to be, call it "s2ram",
make it executable. Contents:
#!/bin/sh
echo mem > /sys/power/state
If this works, but the binary s2ram does not, then I have a problem ;-) I just
want to make sure that it really is s2ram and not something else around it that
is causing the problem.
Thanks.
