It seems that there is wrong update of device map :( Could you change your /boot/grub/device.map file please?
It probably includes line: "(hd0) /dev/hda" Could you change it to "(hd0) /dev/sda" please?
I have checked the device.map and you are right. There is a "(hd0) /dev/hda" line inside.
It should help you boot windows etc.
Windows is already booting, of course i have changed the menu.lst by hand to the needed parameters.
Please let me know if it helps you. thanks
Probably it will help. The question is, why /dev/hda is in this file ? If i remember correctly the first suse version i have installed on this computer was suse 10.0. Is it possible that some older version has used an old ide driver which used hda and the update to 10.x or 11 has changed the ide driver to use /dev/sda instead but the suse installer has not updated this file ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
