https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=402638 Summary: Grub installs wrong if you start installation from usb stick Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sontek@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- This also happened in 10.3 but since its still not fixed I figured I should submit a bug report. If you create a bootable usb stick that starts the openSUSE install, when it gets to installing the boot loader it installs grub to the USB stick and sets up grub to boot to (hd1) instead of (hd0). I couldn't find a good way to tell it *not* to do this in the installer (so that I could choose the correct devices), so I'm stuck with having to boot up, install grub manually, and edit the menu.list and device.map manually. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
