https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=402589 Summary: Sax2 crashes on first use Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: SaX2 AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: JBCK99@optonline.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer After installing the 1-click install Nvidia graphics drivers, I went to configure sax2. I entered "sax2 -r" (without quotes) into a terminal window as root and sax2 began to scan the computer. After flashing the command line interface for a few seconds, maybe 1-3, my screen had vertical lines across the screen (almost like scanlines) and the resolution went to somewhere near 800x600. My cursor was a square about 75x75 and could not click anything. The large resolution forced part of the screen off my monitor (I normally use 1280x1024). Because I could not do anything on my desktop, I restarted my computer through the buttons directly on the computer. When OpenSUSE 11.0 loaded again, I ran "sax2 -r" again, but directly through the command line interface and sax2 ran fine, except when I went to move the screen or resize it (through the test button), I could not do either and was forced to use the auto-focus button on my monitor. Now my OpenSUSE system's graphics are fine, but the loading screen after turning on the computer is pushed to the left about 20 pixels, leaving a black space on the right side of my screen. These are not huge issues, as they have not yet shown any problems with programs or applications in OpenSUSE, but it does not seem normal. Thank you for your consideration. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
