https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=402509 Summary: perl-bootloader: rpm deadlock Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: jengelh@gmx.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer Installing a kernel can trigger a deadlock. Attached is the relevant part of `ps afx` output. Stracing the second rpm obviously shows it is waiting for a lock on the rpm database, which is actually held by the first rpm instance. It times out after a few minutes or so, but I'd still say it is a deadlock. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
