https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=399224 Summary: udev rules scripts: obsolete warnings Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Hotplug AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mid@ct.heise.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Other Many rule files in /etc/udev/rules.d, e.g. 80-drivers.rules, contain a warning (as comment) the file gets overwritten during update. In case of 80-drivers.rules, this seems to be obsolete, due /etc/sysconfig/hardware/README.hwcfg_and_device_initialisation says the file is exactly the right place to add udev rules due hwup/hwdown was changed fundamentally in openSuse 10.3. Somebody should run through the rules files and see if the warnings/comments are obsolete or not. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
