https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=397005 Summary: YAST2 fails to set up WEP Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 1 Platform: i686 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: o.wise.1@bigpond.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer When setting up a D-Link DWA-110 USB wireless adaptor, YAST2 / Network manager fail to set up the WEP settings correctly. YAST2 correctly identified the adaptor and advised that formware was needed (nice touch). Once firmware installed adaptor was able to be configured via YAST2 but NetworkManager fails to start device. See log attached. Tried using hex passkey but no difference. I then found workaround. If NetworkManager is used to selected other wireless network and the hex passkey entered it connects OK. It appears that the setting of the key via YAST2 is not getting written to the config file. Another minor point - when the network is restarted the NetworkManager icons re-appear but with "phantom" white spaces that then end up as blanks in the task bar. Finally - this release really blew me away - very very impressed and very slick all round. Looking forward to the final release.
